Anita’s Easy and Delicious Cheese Tortellini in Homemade Creamy Alfredo Sauce
Ingredients:
For the best Homemade Alfredo Sauce Ever
1/2 cup butter
2 cups heavy whipping cream or milk
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/3 teaspoon dried oregano
1/3 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup Pecorino Romano cheese, grated
fresh parsley, for garnish
Preparation:
- In a medium saucepan add butter and minced garlic. Cook it for one to two minutes.
- Add heavy cream, and cream cheese in chunks. Cook over medium heat and keep whisking until melted.
- Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, dried parsley, dried basil, dried thyme, and dried oregano. Continue to whisk until smooth and creamy.
- Add grated Pecorino Romano cheese.
- Pour over cooked Cheese Tortellini. (Boil Tortellini according to package instructions, and when they’re cooked, they float. 🙂
- Garnish with some fresh parsley and shaved Pecorino Romano cheese. Enjoy!
