Anita’s Easy and Delicious Cheese Tortellini in Homemade Creamy Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients:

For the best Homemade Alfredo Sauce Ever

1/2 cup butter

2 cups heavy whipping cream or milk

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/3 teaspoon dried oregano

1/3 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 cup Pecorino Romano cheese, grated

fresh parsley, for garnish

Preparation:

  1. In a medium saucepan add butter and minced garlic. Cook it for one to two minutes.
  2. Add heavy cream, and cream cheese in chunks. Cook over medium heat and keep whisking until melted.
  3. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, dried parsley, dried basil, dried thyme, and dried oregano. Continue to whisk until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add grated Pecorino Romano cheese.
  5. Pour over cooked Cheese Tortellini. (Boil Tortellini according to package instructions, and when they’re cooked, they float. 🙂
  6. Garnish with some fresh parsley and shaved Pecorino Romano cheese. Enjoy!
