Anita’s Healthy Homemade Style Beef Kafta (baked)

This is a very simple to make Homemade recipe. It’s healthy, tender and juicy meat packed with flavor. Formed by hand like a meatball or log and then char-grilled, on the stove or baked.

Ingredients

1 pound of ground beef

3 Tablespoons curly parsley, finely chopped

1 Tablespoon mint, dried

1 medium size onion, finely diced

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/3 teaspoon garlic powder

1/3 teaspoon cinnamon, ground

1/3 teaspoon nutmeg, ground

1 Tablespoon Ketchup

1 teaspoon olive oil

2 Tablespoon Pomegranate molasses, one for brushing

Preparation

  1. In a medium bowl, combine ground beef with the parsley, onion, dried mint, salt, pepper, garlic powder, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ketchup, one tablespoon of pomegranate molasse, and olive oil.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 grades Farenheit.
  3. Line a sheet with foil paper.
  4. Meanwhile, shape the Kafta into small logs with your hands and place them on the prepared sheet pan.
  5. Brush each kafta with the left one tablespoon of Pomegranate molasse.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until caramelized and still tender from the inside. Enjoy with a simple salad or rice!
